Did my first portrait shoot.
These are the two best.

Tips are welcome. Or any comments suggestions. even criticism.
 
Cute girl, looking kind of flirty, since she's doing a universal flirting gesture, which is twirling her own hair. Your second pose is the better of the two, since it shows more of her outfit, but the missing hand, which is 'probably' propped on the edge of the chair seat, is a bit distracting. What bothers me the most though, is the apparent perspective distortion caused by shooting from too close of a distance, with too short of a focal length lens; this makes her hand and forearm appear disproportionately large, compared to her face and head. This looks like maybe a 50mm lens from close range...the lens is just too close to her, physically. Pose #1 has a nice facial expression, but is off balance compositionally.
 
It's a kit 18-55 lense and yes I was shooting to close.
