It was a bust.

Absolutely ZERO birds. Not even evidence of 'em. Probably because they're stuffed with locusts at the moment (the sound was deafening!)

The bison ran away no matter what I did.

Only the elk cooperated, and they were all bunched together in the water cooling off.

So this is the best I could do:

While I can't claim the combo can pick a flea off at 1,000 yards, it certainly can record a fly at 200 feet!

Sounds like every time I go out looking to shoot bird....they all disappear. Still, the flea/fly detail is amazing!

Getting skunked is one of the most frustrating parts of bird photography.

These are good captures anyway, so forget about the birds if you do not know how to bait them...next time bring some needs and hide in a tent?

They were already baited and next to a bird blind. But they were probably not hungry with tons of locusts everywhere.

Been waiting for a few shots from you with Der Tamzooka. Great shots from a great lens, the guy behind it ain't bad either ;) Don't listen to them, you don't need to bait birds at all and exactly how do you bait a BIF Iz ;) :) That won't work mate :)

All the best and looking forward to more, great stuff.

Danny.
