first shots with new nikon D7K for C&C

Number 1 - I think it was done nicely, but the black spot on the lower left hand of the picture has to be cropped out imo. I think it hurts the picture.
Number 2 - Another nice shot, but I think a little less sky would help.
Number 3 - Watch your horizon. Weakest of the 4.
Number 4 - Very nice. Digging the framing.

One more question.
I used D7K with Nikon 50mm 1.8D too, but I could not get sharp pictures. Do you have any tricks? Thanks.

Do you shoot at 1.8?

I only shoot at F1.8 when I take portraits. Do you think the image quality matters? I usually use large JPG.

Shooting at F1.8 is not a good idea usually. When you shoot wide open, the depth of field is extremely shallow minimizing the field to inches. Shooting at a smaller aperture (2.0, 2.5,2.5 etc) will increase the DOF and will also provide sharper images.
