Hi there,
There were done with a Nikon D5200 and a Bower 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens (AKA: Samyang/Rokinon/Pro-Optic/etc).
What do you think of them?

I know some people simply don't like fisheye shots.
However, I am really enjoying this D5200 + Bower 8mm f/3.5 combination.
Anyone else shoting this lens as well?

I like #1 the best

I like 1 and 4, though I'd prefer the road in number 4 wasn't there.

I think of fisheye the same way I do selective color: it tends to be over done but for certain scenes, it can be effective.

I really like #1 & #5.

#3 you could've got closer to the fence and had it in the foreground and the everything else after, it would lead in the viewer more.

I like your shots! Keep shooting, fisheyes are a ton of fun.

Really like number one the best. Also like number five.

I mainly use fisheye for sport / concert shots.

I guess you need to use it when there is a real reason to get more in the frame or when you need the effect.

1. is good, though with a non fisheye effect you could have get something even more impressive.

3. for landscape eveything become so small you don't much detail into the frame.

others well they have nothing really special to them. You can do awesome shot with a fish, problem is that you need to think of how best to take advantage of the effect, not just put everything in the frame.

only my opinion obviously!

That lens is definitely worth it's price and delivers good IQ.
It's sweet that it illuminates the entire image sensor (APS-C only).

Fisheye is kind of a novelty type of lens but as mentioned has its uses.

Great replies, thank you all.
The "artistic" perspective is what attracts me.
I still have to try it with sports too.

Thanks again!
