On #2 try filling your frame with more of the interesting subject and less of the boring stuff around it. Also, think about composition.

The second one is very nice but I feel that the leaves OOF in the foreground is distracted and messes with my eyes. Could mess with the lighting to make the flower pop even more. Beautiful though.
