Well also consider the Sigma 10-20 as the cheaper most popular alternative to the outstanding but more expensive Tokina 11-16 f2.8. As will give you more usable extended range. And ultra-wide are more forgiving in handheld shots at slower shutter speeds. And landscape shots don't require wider fixed f-stops as you will mostly be shooting landscapes on a tripod and at f8-f11-f16 apertures anyways.

For me there are situations where a fixed prime would not be the most usable and problematic if I need wider. And a zoom allows me fine tune composition when surroundings are detrimental to using a prime.
Just a thought as really no right lens for all situations.
But find the Sigma 10-20 the best bang fer the buck.
As got mine used for $300.
