I wonder if it will gulp it down in one swallow like some birds do or just peck at it until it's had it's fill. either way, if it eats it all it's amazing how they do it. Nice shot, you got some good detail in that one.

Yes indeed - so many birds are ringed as chicks by various wildlife organisation here in the UK - helps with tracking movements and migration etc
