Friends In Blue

First post in this forum. My two favorite types of photography are B&W Landscape and Birding.
A few shots of my friends in blue, the Blue Jay.

Bird photography just like it has to be: precise focus on the subject, nicely blurred out background, photo reduced to bird and maybe perch only ... good exposure. Lovely detail in the feathers, mostly so in the last (closest). But compositionally and overall my favourite is the middle one!

I agree with the rest. I just went out today to try my hand at shooting birds and I did crap. Its not easy.

I find it takes patience and complete focus. Not the type of thing where one can approach with the attitude of 'taking a few snaps'. The other problem is the models will not stand still

Very nice work, few shooters can capture a clear image of a bird, you have to be fast and watch for clear backgrounds. Nice job
