Hello everyone,

I have a highly recommended Fuji S4000 camera bought in 2011. An amazingly versatile camera.

After a couple of months of non-use...I installed new batteries took 6 pictures and the battery light briefly flashed and the camera shut down... When I replaced those batteries, the same thing happened; the camera drains the aaa batts at warp speed!!! Is the camera terminally faulty?

Can anyone suggest a solution please...thanks!!

Jonathan .

Thought those took AAs. Otherwise, sounds like it's a goner. Not an uncommon problem with 10+ year-old budget p&s digitals.

Thank you cgw,
I think you are correct in both cases...Yes I agree...the camera is probably cooked. Thanks for the reply.

Are the batteries from the same package?
Could the problem be old weak batteries?
