You might check out the Conservatory or Lincoln Park Zoo. Both are free. Then there is the Mag Mile... (Actually, I belive Saturday is "White Lights" when they light up Michigan Ave for Christmas) so that'll be all pretty-fied.

How bout the water tower, it's great lit up in the evening, tribune tower, and the end of upper whacker. It overlooks Navy Pier.
