Yes, it was smaller than a common house fly. I thought it was a baby one until I started processing it.it also looks extremely small?

The front legs don't look right for a botfly. Our dogs get the larva from time to time. Have to wait until a hole appears, and then you can pour hydrogen peroxide in the hole, and the larva will pop out, then you squash it. Squashing while it is till in the animal will cause anaphylactic shock. Nasty little things. Burn 'em with fire...That fly looks like a botfly to me. I was first intrigued by this larva I found on a client’s driveway this morning, so I took a picture. Now I’m thinking it is a botfly larva. I was looking at pictures of botflies this morning. Here is the chubby larva I took a picture of this morning. I didn’t know these things were in Michigan.View attachment 268185
