The latest images from the back yard during galaxy season! The first is M82, also known as the Cigar Galaxy, and the second image is a barred spiral galaxy named NGC 2903. Our own Milky Way is also a barred spiral galaxy, so this is a good visualization of what aliens from another galaxy might see if looking at our galaxy. These targets were imaged over several nights.

Second one for me. Guess I have a thing for spiral galaxies.

Great images.
