Not sure I love the ice or not. I agree that fussing with curves would be a worthwhile experiment, but I'm not sure it would improve, I think the subtle grey tones it's rendered in right now might be just right. It's a great set of lines and textures. For me, what's missing is a sense of coldness. I am not really feeling *ice* here, that could as well be a cement .. something, with water. I'm not sure how to fix that, and I sure wouldn't want to see the subtle tone poem of greys vanish, but it would be nice to get a little more sense of coldness. Honestly, a very faint blue tint might be enough to do it, and it sure would not hurt on the cold department.

I like this, but I wonder if the very light-colored sheet at the top really adds anything - to me it seems to work even better with that cropped out. Andrew's suggestion of a very slight blue tint is worth exploring as well.
