Looks like some sort of fake blur generation. I've never seen bokeh like that and can't even imagine how a lens would look that way.

I have seen mirror lenses do that.. but they usually have donut bokeh, so this has me curious! It is plenty ugly though....

Nope it is not fake.....if you notice at the feet of the bird, all the green crap floating on the surface of the pond helped create the bokeh which "disturbed" you.... the swirling spots of green on the pond...
The lens is a 50-500mm sigma...the duck I posted in the forum is shot with the same lens...different bokeh... the background contributes to the effect... sometimes nicely and sometimes strange.. I think this one fell in the strange category... but I thought it was trippy
