Nice! But it sort of bothers me that her glasses cut her eye in half...but I know that is a hard thing to avoid sometimes.

I like the glasses off the eye but I think the highlights can be dropped JUST a notch so her chin does not look so big. Just a small notch so it has a tough of tone to it. Very nice shot other then that.

i like applying this effect to portraits. It certainly has its place and works well with some and not so well with others. In this case I think I'd dial it back on the opacity scale to bring back some of the original image. Mix it up til you find a nice, more subtle blend.
