~ Glacial Erratic ~ The massive rock seen through the snow-laden hardwoods is a glacial erratic deposited over 10,000 years ago, having come to rest at the base of a slope covered in smaller size boulders. I shot this scene yesterday when the snow storm ended. The location was in Yale Forest, owned and managed by Yale University's School Of Environmental Forestry.
