Thanks, Jeff! The entire shore of the SF Bay is landfill. They started filling the bay with household garbage in the old days. The bay was actually shrinking until the '70s when Save the Bay came along and started the restoration. When I was a kid the bay smelled bad, we would roll up our windows crossing the bridge. Now it's MUCH cleaner and natural, although has different problems now.

Most of the old bottles are leftovers from before the '70s. Interesting old bottles, somebody collected some and left them on the beach. There's a LOT of polished glass at this spot from decades of rolling in the surf. But I won't get specific to keep the crowds away
