1 and 2 are a bit underexposed - should be able to see details in the body feathers. I like #4 and 5. The stuffed cheeks made me smile a bit.

Have you ever thought of using some fill flash in these situations? Just curious.

Based on my experience shooting "big birds" in Florida, the flash doesn't seem to stress them out. Fill flash is only about 1/1000 of a second, or less, and I have never ever seen a bird react to my flash as generally I dial down the strength of the flash so that it "fills" the shadows to some extent and that is all. I think you will find that a lot of bird photographers use it when required.

I may try it but not sure i will not use the on camera flash as i dont know how to change the power or even if i can

You are right. I wouldn't waste my time with an "on camera flash". They don't put out enough light and I am not sure if you can even change their strength. You will need a full-fledged flash for proper "fill-in". If you Google "fill flash for bird photography", you will find a lot of stuff to check out, including some YouTube videos.
