Goose in a Parking Lot

"Any port in a storm!" Err...make that, "Any parking lot in spring!"

Oddly enough, two Fridays ago I drove by a huge regional park that has some 3 foot deep, concrete "ponds" used for kiddie wading, dog training, and kids who dink around in rubber rafts and such. The odd thing was, the park maintenance crews had drained the ponds. And my kid says, "Look at those geese standing around in that empty pond!" And sure enough there were like 30-40 Canada geese, standing around the laaaaaaast little tiny puddle of water in a 200 x 200 foot, totally drained concrete enclosure..not much more than just a wet spot....and yet, the geese were "relating" to it...as if it were a body of water.
