Gray Days can make some great pictures. Everywhere I looked around the house just begged to be photographed, especially in black and white.

sorry if you seen any in other forums

i agree, grey days are awesome for photography, i really like these images, especially the first two of the bed.

I agree with sean, the images are a tad flat but with just a little tweaking in pshop i think they could really stand out. On the bottle It would be cool if you could read the label.

cheers and thanks for sharing those!

Try adjustment layers first, start with levels:

you'll see a graph with 3 sliders, I always adjust the sliders on the edges first and then the one in the middle.

check out seanarmenta's tips on adjusting b&w images, its something that i've recently started doing and its helped heaps:

http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3142

for a bit more artistic effect, duplicate the main image layer and go to filters->distort->diffuse glow. Apply the filter and adjust the opacity of the layer. This is a really cool filter to use for b&w photos, if used sparingly it really makes a b&w stand out.

Wow, thanks! I just seen something about this on Tech TV too, so I had somewhat of an idea how to do it. I just messed around with this one enough to let you see the label on the bottle. Neat stuff!
