This is lovely. It reminds me of a surrealist landscape, I expect to see a melting watch draped over something!

Really nice balance of forms and so on. Without the vertical log it would be pretty much nothing, but with that placed there, it's excellent.

Not sure I am in love with the toning, but maybe it's just the thing for that unsettling/eerie/sickly sensation that the lake gives. There also appears to be some sort of halo on the ridgeline directly about the vertical log. It could just be snow or cloud, but it looks like a sharpening halo.
