Green Heron

Is this a high ISO shot or a crop? Great shot, beautiful bird, but grain is visible. In LR, increase color noise reduction a few clicks

Nice shot - where is this from? Just curious, because the few times I have been to Florida to shoot birds at places around Melbourne, Viera and Titusville, I have only ever seen one and he was hard to see because he spent most of his time rummaging around in the longer grass. Just curious, as Heitz has asked, is this a crop and if so, it would be nice to see the shot of the whole bird if it is available. Thanks for sharing.

Nope. This one is right out of the camera. I like getting close. No crop. I think I have a wider shot...

Edit: These are from parks in Fort Worth, TX. I've seen a number of them in the ponds in parks around the city, although I don't see very many down in the Trinity River bottoms with the other herons and egrets. They don't seem particularly skittish, and they do like ponds, it seems.

I have never seen one up close on picture lol. Nice job man!
