Really nice lighting. I like the first photo.
I don't care much for the stump in the last photo, but the reflection is an excellent addition.

Without the stump, I didn't think there was any correlation to how he got where he was since they like to fish from concealed locations or off stumps.

I am looking for something different in your shots. Your technically pretty good but that sets you up for something greater. Guys like dark, zombi, zombie jr are always reaching. These are good but you are stuck within yourself.

I'm stuck within what's available for me to shoot. All of these shots I've posted in the last week or so are shot from a moving boat in less than stellar light most of the time. Given the drought conditions we're in, I'm amazed there's anything to shoot. We did get about three inches of rain last week but today you can see no trace of it. it does not make more a wildlife rich environment..thus, I take what I can get.

I see nothing wrong with your efforts. Picking up the camera and getting out is a lot better than most can do.

Looking at these a second time, the last photo is MUCH better on a high-resolution screen, as compared to my iPhone. Looking at the last photo now, the stump is growing on me. I would say that the last photo needs to be adjusted for level, rotating ever-so-slightly to the right. Look at the ripples in the water...

I think this is an outstanding set and the stump in the last one definitely belongs.
The stump echoes the form, size, texture, and color of the outstretched wing.

Nice shots, all of them! I also think the stump belongs in the shot, it's part of the context of what's going on.
