Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I bracketed this landscape, with EV values -3, 0 and +3. Post processed in Photomatix and Lightroom. Finalized two versions. Which one do you think is better and why?

Being very 'unpracticed' with PhotoMatix, I will say....

First photo(top), seems 'soft'. Almost as if the photo was blurred. Sky is great from my chair....
Second photo(bottom), seems 'over sharpened'. But the 'light' is better. Sky is still 'weird' though.....

Somewhere in between the two would be fun. Nice place too!!!

The scene doesn't look to have the high dynamic range that HDR is intended as a solution for.

I suspect a single properly exposed shot could be edited in LR to produce a well finished image.

Of the 2 i prefer the 2nd.

What does the middle (0 EV) of the 3 exposures look like?

I liked 2 for the bottom part, better exposed and the skies from the first one

As Keith mentioned, it's lacking the typical DR of an HDR image. Here's my edit:

Cheers!
Jake

Edit: The quality sucks, but you get the idea. Post the bracketed images and I can do more with it!

That was my first time with Photomatix. I really am not getting used to the interface and it's abilities. I need more practice.
I agree, the first one is soft, and 2 has over sharp trees, but the hills are better. 2 is the better one for me. It'd be really helpful if you could explain a little more about the weirdness of the sky.

I thought of HDR to get the distant hills more expressed. here's the 0 EV (Unedited version).

Thanks.

That's a good one, but I try to keep HDR intensity as low as possible and keep it close to reality. Here are the jpg files, find the 0 EV one above.

Bump, the differing EV photos have been posted above.
