Greetings from Roanoke VA

I am a new member who is a recently retired radio and TV station chief engineer. I have been an amateur photographer for more than fifty years, mostly using professional and advanced-amateur 35 mm (and occasionally wider format) roll film cameras. Now that I am retired I look forward to increasing and refining my efforts in photography, as well as seeking advice here on matters such as buying a new DSLR back to replace my elderly Pentax 35mm back.

Beautiful little city you live in. I took a drive through the Cumberland Gap and wound up in some little museum/place of interest there about 20 years ago. I remember the colors on the drive were beautiful. You should have lots of fall foliage photos for us? Welcome!
