No offence meant. I come across these quite often when I'm out and about with my dog. It's always the tail end that's left: seems the local owls are fussy about what they eat.

@Fujidave : I posted it here because it's the forum that is for photos where no critique is being sought and not because I think it's necessarily funny ha-ha, although as already mentioned it is a little strange that it's the backside that gets the bum's rush.

Perhaps a moderator would be kind enough to move the post to a more suitable gallery to avoid any further upset.

Mouse, not "mole".

This is how cats share their catch with their humans. Our cat used to give us half a vole every couple of days or so. Always the lower half because she ate the upper half. Somehow we never quite got up the appetite to eat those lower halves.

As it's always the lower half I come across, I figured whichever predators are involved only eat the part of the animal where the goodies are: brain, heart, lungs, etc. The rest isn't worthwhile perhaps.
