Bravo! I love those pics, and wish I'll get to take similar ones one day...

Would you mind giving out some advice for a beginner like me, technique? Gear used? Tricks?

Tips/Tech: As much as I hate to admit, I benefitted from using a tripod. Lots of diffused light. Be mindful of the rule of 3rds. Always have the eyes in focus.

Gear: I use a Sigma 150mm 2.8 HsM ex + Sigma 1.4x TC APO ex or Tamron 90mm SP Di 2.8 on a Nikon D7000 most of the time. Sometimes I break out the Canon 60D with the Mp-E.
