Vultures have long been associated with the dead. Seemingly, these birds have a keen perception for past or pending demise, their ghoulish communion on the remains of the dead soon follows a longing wait for the slipping of another into the beyond.

Death Has Arrived ~ Launched from a high perch the spiraling flight on thermals carrying the scent of the expired beckons the vulture to feast.

Great pictures and descriptions. Reminds me of the time we had vultures flying overhead. My young daughter wanted to see them close-up so lied down in the driveway. Lol. The vultures never came to investigate.
