Whatever it is, it's a nice capture. Would have been spoiled had the light not caught it's eye but it did and it's a nice shot.

I think a Hare is female and a Jack is male. I could very well be wrong. If so, Bugs is definitely a Jack.

Apparently a jackrabbit is a kind of hare as opposed to being a kind of rabbit:

Nice shot! Yellow eyes, so it is a Jackrabbit. If it had antlers, it would be a Jackelope...
