Hey guys,

I need an advice on buying a remote control for my Canon 7D.

The main reason why I need it - I want to make time-lapse videos.

Just, as my budget is very limited (after I have bought 7D) - will the £10+ remote control be able to do the job?

I'm a little worried about this mark:

Exposure Count (N)This setting permits you to set the number of exposures that will be taken, up to a total 99.

Does it mean I will be able to take max of 99 shots only? (confused) ... tx

LOL! No! Just on the intervalometer. It can be programmed to take 99 different shots over time. Then you'd have to re-program if you wanted to do again.

Video speed = 24fps
Video length = 4 sec only

Where are you getting this information from?
The interval timer you can program it to take up to 99 shots over whatever amount of time you want up to 100 hours in any time increment you want.
I don't see where it says ANYTHING about video, but it does support bulb mode, so I'd say you can record video up to the camera/memory card time limit.

Those look like someone's settings for when they recorded something/photographed something over a setting of time and shots.

I think what he was saying is that with a maximum of 99 shots it will be only 4 seconds long when played back at 24 fps (as a time lapse video). I think the genuine Canon intervalometer has the same limit, but it will take unlimited number of shots when it's set to 0. This intervalometer might have the same feature.

Yes, I plan to create time-lapse videos by combining photo shots done with 5 sec interval and will play them at 24fps and this was exactly the problem I was thinking about.

anyway - I have bought the control and will test it when it arrives.
