I don't like that strong yellow part of the photo.
It's so overpowering.

...i wouldn't be that harsh. Continue to work on them... :)

I think the angle sucks and doesn't really do much to create an exciting scene. I was hoping a bit of tweaking could make for a decent image and I think I was wrong.
 
I see these hay bale scenes fairly often, and I've tried, several times, to make a decent landscape out of them. It's a lot harder than I expect it be.

the second is better but I tend to completely agree with you about these shots.

Edit to add: I wouldn't be that harsh either

I love the yellow first one actually. It has nice symmetry.
 
I think all of us see these hay bales and think that there's a picture in there, somewhere. And yet, as Mike says, it's a lot harder than it looks to get a good composition. I know that I have hundreds of pictures of these things, and I've yet to get one that I'm pretty happy with. Yours are pretty good. I like the first one better, even with the yellow sky. For some reason, they remind me of "frosted wheaties" cereal.
