Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am just getting into some architectural HDR work and the photos are coming out fairly well on my computer. The trouble seems to be when I send them, they come out dark. I changed them to 8 bit, reformatted the color as Adobe RGB 1998, and redid the HDR work, and they still look dark. They are also saved as jpegs. Does anyone have a solution to this? Is it likely as simple the recipients monitor not being as bright as mine? I usually do my editing with my brightness settings on high, is this good practice? I am just baffled by this, thanks for the help.

You need to calibrate your monitor, and it the brightness setting is on high that could be an issue.

However, on the other end, their monitor can be creating just as many problems.

Yes, as Ann points out, you need to be sure that your monitor is calibrated. But also use your eyedropper tool to review some of the pixel values, because the numbers never lie.
Regards, Murray
