One thing I like to do with HDR is selectively add contrast back in. For isntance, I think some contrast would really help the foreground grass. As is, it sort of looks like a glowing mess. Adding a touch of contrast to the clouds and pulling some of the highlights on them could really give them an ominous look. Maybe dodge the tree a bit around the edges to kill or at least soften a bit of the halo-ing.
I think one key with HDR is not to treat the program's HDR output as a final product, but just another starting point, and then doing some post work on it to clean it up.
