HDR Turkey thoughts?

I don't use HDR to often I have played around with it a little but I took this for fun today in hopes to get the colour burst which worked. But maybe worked to much what do you think?

It drew out the details in the feathers nicely, but it also gave you a somewhat unpleasing bokeh at the same time. There's also a blue glow to the turkey and it's oversaturated so it looks unnatural. And worse of all, it didn't fix the composition issues with the photo in the first place.
