well I'm new to the photography thing.. love taking pictures of things ,and looking to get a lot better.. I have a Nikon p900.. it seems pretty good.. hoping to learn more about the Manual settings, any help would be great ..i also have a d3100.. anyway.. thank you in advance..

If you're serious about learning manual settings, I would definitely recommend using the D3100 more often than the P900. DSLRs are king when it comes to learning manual settings. To help you through this process, research the "exposure triangle" and learn how the 3 values affect one another. understanding this is critically important to getting out of auto mode. There are literally thousands of youtube videos dedicated to helping you with this!
