Hello, I'm new here. I was impressed by the multitude of forums here, and by the Film forum most of all. I'm a lover of the old, sturdy, all mechanical cameras. I don't know, is it just me? I just want my equipment to be as simple as possible and to get out of the way of my making images. I don't want to have to spend two years just learning how all the bells and whistles work. Compose, focus, set F-stop/ and or Shutter speed, press the button. Why make it more complicated than that??? Does all those bells and whistles, and pixels, and bits, and bytes really produce better images? I have my doubts. Anyway, I hope to share and learn here at The Photo Forum. Hmmm, I guess my sig says it all.
