I'm Lauren, a photography major. I live in new orleans, and I'm not so much interested in digital as I am with b&w film. I just turned my kitchen into a darkroom (all I have is some old beseler enlarger with no timer, the chemicals and some sepia toner which I haven't experimented with yet, 2 safe lights, and photo paper, + film developing supplies) so any advice on that would be great. Also, my enlarger only came with a medium format negative carrier, so I had to turn it into a 35 mm carrier by using gorilla tape. The only problem is that it is very thick, and preventing me from closing the carrier all the way. My photos are turning out very soft, and I believe that could be why...especially since they are so sharp on my contact sheet. Any suggestions (besides buying a new 35 mm carrier)? Thanks! *edit-just found the "introductions" thread. sorry...hopefully a mod will move it.*
And I guess this is a forum to share photos, so here are some of the photos I took last year. Some are from assignments for my digital photography class... http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll301/lthomp67215/photography/ I will scan some of my b&w prints soon, which I am much more proud of
