Help creating this photographic style

Im totally in love with the darker and duller colors in these photos on this bloggers website Home does anyone know how to create that style? Do I need to set my camera on a specific mode plus do extra editing? Any help would be appreciated, I'm a beginner photographer with a Nikon D5300.

I think most of the effect is accomplished in post-capture editing. Expose toward the low side, increase saturation, particularly those colors that when combined will show as more brown.

Looks to me like an early moring shoot with a darkly tanned model on light bakgrounds mostly shot in shade.

Yep extensive and well done post processing. All the images look like fusions of properly exposed frames with underexposed copies. Then some DOF work to emphasise subject.
