Help My Photos!!

I have a Pentax DSLR camera, 10 mp. I want my photos to look crisper and clearer. I have an example of the kind of quality in a photo I'd like to see.

Is it megapixels, more photoshop skills, a certain filter, better lens, better camera, ALL OF THE ABOVE??? I'm a beginner so give it to me straight! Thanks!

The first step is knowing your camera and understanding what every control, dial, function and choice affects the final image.

BTW, it's against forum rules to post a photo you don't have permission to use.

More details like what are you using (model/lens), and what result have you obtained with it will help offer some suggestions ... because it can range from a better lens, to a better tripod, lighting or even better post processing ...

It would be closer to NONE of the above.

How about better knowledge and skills...mainly in the area of lighting.
