Help with Abstract

I see your point Darich but I would venture to guess that what the OP meant by, "polite criticism", was constructive criticsm. He mentioned that people on other forums have yelled at him for posting photos like these rather than politely explaining what they see wrong with them which I hope I did in my original reply.

Icon - i took it literally since criticism can be polite, impolite, constructive, deconstructive, etc and any combination of the above.

Constructive criticism can be polite or impolite but i've seen on other sites where no one dare say anything negative about poor photos for fear of upsetting the photographer. In my opinion that's as much use as a handbrake on a canoe. poor focus, bad composition but you get comments like, "nice use of empty space" etc.

i guess the "being-nice-without-wanting-to-offend" criticism is as useful as the shouting down type. Both are no help whatsoever
