Help With Fashion Photo

Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me with a new-to-me problem. I’m trying to take photos of a vintage designer jacket to sell online. The jacket has a python print and is heavily embellished with metallic gold sparkle sort of overlay. My problem is that I cannot get the gold to show up in a photo. Never encountered this before and don’t know what to do. Basically, the jacket is photographing as black and white. Any suggestions appreciated. The gold sparkle is what makes the jacket and without it, sort of blah. TIA.

The problem is that the golden sparkles are too… sparkly! They can
reflect as much light as they receive and so killing the chrominance
and reflecting the whole luminance.

Try using a light incidence that will not exacerbate the reflectance.

I would try multiple light sources. Like a faceted gemstone reflecting a single light source, the sparkling effect comes with movement. Jewelry displays use rows of lights to increase the sparkling effect.
