Im trying to do a mothers day portrait of my wife, her sis, and myself for therey mother. Couple problems I am haveing is im 6'2 they are 5'0 and 4'11. How do I pose us three so I dont dwarf them? Also it going to be in a beautiful field that is covered in yellow flowers, whar colors would look good? they are not model skinny so I dont want the pics to make them feel worse? Gear is D40, kit lense. 55-200 vr, and a tamron 17-50, SB600, filters, expodisc ect.

You all sit, torso is normally of similar proportions so not as much variation in head height.

you're sitting, your wife is standing next to you (where the boy is) and her sister either standing next to your wife or sitting like that other woman in the picture.
Thats classical approach, rarely fails :)

The above is right. You sit in front, and have your wife kneeling in back of you with your faces on the same plane. It will work like a charm!
