Heron In Flight

My first acceptable Heron in flight shot. Not the best but I will take it until I get a better one!

I like the color and the framing, could be a little more sharp, but overall a really good shot. These are so hard to shoot close up because they move so quickly.

Congrats on this beautiful picture! Even though you managed to freeze the heron in mid-air and against a plain blue sky, motion is still very well implied. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

yea very nice. I saw a blue heron today, no picture though, then I spotted 2 sandhill cranes across the field, so I followed the hiking trail around until I got up to them, but they flew, so I got some of them flying but nothign this close or this detailed. excellent
