Hey wedding photographers?

What size memory card do you shoot with?




Heres why Im asking?

Some photographers say they would rather shoot a entire wedding on a 16GB card. That way they dont have to remove or switch cards through out the day. Perhaps there less likely to lose or damage a card if its left in the camera the entire shoot.

Some other photographers dont trust the entire shoot to just one card. If that card fails them their whole shoot is useless. So they use several smaller cards.

Whats your opinion?

I shoot with 4 gig cards, some times I have a few 2gig laying around as well. But I take about 10 4 gig cards with me. I also have a flashtrax hd that I can dump the files on if I want to.

i'm curious to know if anyone's ever had a card fail?

i've used the same 4gb card for four years now and never had a problem. i don't shoot wedding though.

I use two 16gigs and I have an 8 as a spare. I've never had one fail on me but I've only shot 2 weddings lol

Never had one fail "knock on wood" but I know others who have.
