So I went out today and bought the EOS D60. I am very excited as this is my first serious camera! My purpose is just to take great photographs (as opposed to the pictures I took on the other junk cameras I own). I need help. There must be a 101 guide that explains things that the manual makes hard to understand.

Anyone have any websites, advice, tips or tricks? Feel free to "bring it on"! I am open to everything!

Thanks y'all!

Welcome aboard.

Did you get the EOS D60 (circa 2002) or the 60D?

The manual (the full version, not just the quick/guide) is usually pretty good. But it won't teach you the basics of photography & exposure, which is what you really need to know, in order to take control of your camera. Read up on exposure, shutter speed, aperture & ISO.

NO no, I'm sorry...I bought the 60D from Best Buy. Any websites online you'd recommend for that reading?

Whoa! I wasn't expecting to see another person from around here! That's super cool.
This is definitely an interesting place to take pictures! :)

Mike, thank you so much for the resources! I am headed there now!
Hugadinosaur, QA's here...what about you?
