If this is intended as a fashion shot, we need to see the clothes a little more, especially the shoes. Not sure about cropping off the ends of the draping fabric on the ground.

The picture feels a little schizophrenic to me: It's sort of a fashiony thing, but with the simple lighting you're not hitting any of the fashion notes. The "fashion" is all in the model and the clothes. If it's trying to be a moody art piece, then it's too fashiony for my taste. It's definitely not a portrait, since the model is pretty much invisible behind the clothes, the pose, and the lighting.

There's definitely some good elements here, don't get me wrong, in fact there's nothing WRONG at all, it's just that all the stuff that's right doesn't cohere into a single statement for me.

Good for the artistic quality. If it is the model you are trying to showcase here, your image could benefit a tighter crop. But if you were trying to showcase the outfit, quite a bit of the detail gets lost at the bottom.

Im pretty much new to this fashion stuff but it’s all in good fun none of it is for money just for fun and help people build portfolios. I will keep in mind about getting the all the cloths in and making sure they are lit after all that’s what they are show casing in these types of shoots.

Gotta agree with amolitor...as a "fashion" shot, the clothing is simply NOT coming through very well. His post is a perfect, thoughtful summation of everything that is right, and wrong, with the photo--AS A FASHION photo. I would quote his post, but then his derby might not fit! My feeling from looking at it is that the model looks as if she is about to fall over backward...her posture just does not quite "work" for me. I do not wish to sound like I am ripping on your shot...just telling it the way I see it. I dunno... today's world is SO FILLED with these types of fashion images that the bar is set very,very high. The smaller details in this shot seem to be working against the success of the shot, as measured by today's high standards. What I am seeing here, on the web, is not quite as visually satisfying as probably what YOU have seen, working on the file, LARGE. One suggestion: since the file is so small on the web, try LIGHTENING it UP in the shadows....so we can literally SEE more. I often find that when an image is size-reduced, it loses a LOT of shadow impact, probably due to the overall presence of so,so much WHITE screen on typical web pages. Here, on TPF, we see the images against a white field...that makes the shadowed parts of images less impactful, so...yeah...the world wide web is NOT all that photo=friendly on some types of shots. This seems to be the kind of photo that looks better when seen larger than we see here, on TPF, or even on Flickr.

I agree with amolitor here. Some of the clothes are in shadowy spots and you cant lose the shoes like that.
