Hight resolution & Image size

Hi, Iam still learning the basics with my camera and I am trying to enter into a comp that states my photo must be high resolution 300dpi, a minimum of 500KB?? capped at 10MB. My crappy camera is only a 3.2 Megapixel 5.4-17.3mm 1:2.8-5.1.. Apart from macros.... all other photos i take dont go anywhere near that size.Does my camera make this impossible to produce?

It doesn't look like the competition is specifying how big the picture has to be, just the dpi. You can still furnish a 300dpi image, dimensionally it just wont be very big.
