The Horicon marsh is one of the largest inland fresh water marshes. It is 33,000 acres with hiking trails and dikes. It was established for its nesting values for the Redhead ducks. It holds the 3rd. largest nesting population of Redheads east of the Mississippi river. Here are some photos from my hike, but there is a lot more than just Redhead ducks. I hope you enjoy.
#1 Redhead Ducks
#2
#3 Rudy Duck
#4 Egrets
#5 Pied-Billed Grebe
#6 Then when I was quit a way into my hike I ran into this guy, and I did a quick retreat!
#7 Song Sparrow
#8 Female RWBB
The marsh is such a awesome piece of property to hike and I plan on visiting it as much as I can.
And like always thanks for looking.
