I should post the original. This is about 1/4 of the original shot. :lol:

I'll go grab another raw (I shot probably 8 or 9 in High Speed Continuous) and see what happens-I imagine the 7D should have given me the resolution to do it.

Yeah. I love the idea, but I'd prefer a tighter crop on the opening in the trees.

You know what, I think I'll just go shoot that spot again with that in mind. When I crop too much in this photo, it feels artificial, and if I start over with a fresh photo shot with that in mind, it'll feel more authentic. At least to me-maybe there wouldn't be a noticeable difference from cropping to a whole new photo, but I'd like to try this with a specific goal in mind.
