Hoping for the Golden Handle 🤞 later tonight.!

It's finally getting dark here in Kansas and the moon is just on the verge of showing it's Golden Handle... Hopefully before midnight , after that, I'll be sleeping

Click "download" and look at the 10 o'clock position... It's just about to pop into the sunlight...

I've never captured the Peaks of Montes Jura hanging out over the terminator line, in the direction of the night side... But I think tonight is "the night"!

Tripod mounted, shutter delay mode, VR is on.

It's THERE!......I think another two hours (if I can stay awake ) should make it more predominant...a little thicker looking, as more of the peaks get illuminated by the sun.

Tonight has been a total success, so far...as I've never captured the Golden Handle completely on the dark side of the terminator...and in two hours it should be BETTER!

WOOHOO .....Nailed it!...The peaks are nicely lit by the sun's light, and they're still on the dark side of the terminator!....TOTAL SUCCESS!

Good luck denum!....it'll be a challenge, as you'll find out how hard it is to
capture this event!
